Live Source1
Dynamic, real-time
image sources, such as video capture equipment.
All material
or effect
blocks
that can accept footage
inputs also accept live
source inputs. For example, any
effect that can be applied
on a still image can also be applied on a live source. As of CW 3.0,
live sources also support audio
capture.
To create a
live source,
invoke Media
> Live
(right-click) > New.
The capture device
and settings
for the new live source can be set in Attributes
> Live
Source Box.
Once the capture device is setup, a low-frame-rate preview of the live
source input will be made available in Media
> Live.
Just like a footage object, dragging a live
source from Media
onto the Graphics
Viewer will create an image layer with
a basic material that references the live source.
